=== The stream flows along pleasantly until it reaches "channel 42," as it is known on the maps, where the Fuara stream flows into it. In a proper country, a modest wooden bridge would help hikers across the channel. The way things are now, there's no choice but for hikers to hang all their possessions around their necks, roll up their pants, and step into the stream, promptly sinking up to their hips in the filthy morass of the stream bed. Luckily, someone has thrown a double mattress on the other side of the stream, where one can sit and scrape off the mud. ===
